Teen Challenge Southeast Region has 20 centers across 6 states with close to 300 employees. The primary goal of Teen Challenge is to provide hope to those struggling with addiction.

IT Manager

Manages IT employees and tracks day-to-day IT tasks and help desk. Makes decisions about IT expenditures and stewards budget. Works with Process Improvement and Development to implement current technologies that aid in streamlining processes and cutting overhead. Creates and maintains IT policies and procedures in order to protect company data. Manages multiple projects with upper level management, in some cases using offshore outsourcing. Strategically plans for using new technologies in order to help the organization reach its vision and goals.

  • Created the IT Department from scratch.
  • Upgraded building servers using virtualization when possible to cut hardware and maintenance overhead.
  • Upgraded legacy phone system to a VOIP solution that utilized unified communications.
  • Took lead on multiple web projects and cut total costs by over $30,000, while delivering the projects within expected scope and timeline.

Teen Challenge Pensacola is a remote branch of Teen Challenge Southeast Region and includes a men’s and women’s training location. The purpose of Teen Challenge Pensacola is to facilitate life transformation for individuals struggling with addiction.

Network Administrator

Managed the daily IT needs of the two locations including help desk issues and network maintenance and upgrading.

  • Implemented wireless network with security and guest network.
  • Converted simple workgroup network into client/server based Windows domain network.
  • Upgraded technologies such as sound and presentation equipment for large chapel.
